The German armed forces have maintained a presence in Kosovo since 1999 as part of the international KFOR mission. It's one of the longest running missions the Bundeswehr has been involved in. KFOR is reducing its force strength in Kosovo. From a peak of 50 thousand the force will be reduced to 5000 over the coming months.Alexander Feist reports from a country scarred by the war between ethnic Serbs and Kosovo Albanians, wounds that have yet to heal.
